Sailom Hotel Hua Hin: Hua Hin

My stay at Sailom Hotel, with a restaurant in the city, I must say, was a wonderful experience. Firstly, the location of the hotel was fantastic. It was situated in a great spot in the city and had a wide and safe parking area, which made it convenient for me as a traveler. As soon as I walked into the hotel, I was warmly greeted by the reception staff, who made me feel very welcomed and valued as a guest. Their helpfulness and friendly demeanor created a positive first impression. The hotel itself has stood the test of time. The rooms were large, spacious, and impeccably clean. The comfortable options in the room further enhanced my stay, as I could rest and relax in a cozy environment. Compared to the new Star hotels in the city, which provide great options for photo shoots, this hotel doesn't have the glitter Instagram photogenic options—the rooms offer a good family atmosphere and facilities in the room. Regarding breakfast, the hotel provided a standard selection of Thai and Western dishes. While it may not have been the most extraordinary breakfast I have ever had, it was undoubtedly satisfactory and provided enough variety to start the day. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the restaurant in the hotel, especially its location by the sea. The view was breathtaking, and the fact that I could enjoy delicious food in such a mesmerizing setting made it even more enjoyable. The meals served in the restaurant were top-notch and left me fully satisfied. Not far from Cicada market and city center options and the great location by the sea, I couldn't have asked for more. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful family stay in the city.

It's always tough to review things without taking price into consideration because what's initially attractive about Sailom is its competitive pricing. I'd rate it higher but the rooms truly are tired. The bed was not just firm - it was cement. If you're a side-sleeper there is ZERO give. It's like sleeping on an ensemble mattress base. The bathrooms are small and poor quality. The breakfast buffet is basic at best. That's the minuses done. The blackout room curtains and air-conditioning are clean and modern. The staff are really attentive and a credit to the hotel. The small pool (there are two but one is a cement wasteland) near the reception is really leafy and has a great seabreeze. Food service available (and after breakfast the quality of the food takes a massive leap). Super convenient location and no road noise in spite of this. Beachfront at an affordable price. Great massage place about 8 minutes walk away (called Fresh) and of course modern shopping at Bluport just across the road. I really want to say I'd rush to stay again for all the positives but the bed aka cement slab and tired decor has really put me off.
